Where to Enjoy the Beautiful Duxbury Coastline

Duxbury’s beautiful coastline is a nature lover’s dream. The 6-mile long barrier beach is owned by Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc. to preserve its ecological value. A portion of the beach is leased to the Town of Duxbury for use by Duxbury residents and the general public. Beach stickers and over sand permits may be purchased from the Town of Duxbury.

Duxbury Beach Park

260 Gurnet Road, Duxbury

Open from Memorial Day until Labor Day, weather permitting. The bathhouse contains restrooms, showers, a lunch room and a restaurant.

Shipyard Lane Beach

99 Shipyard Lane, Duxbury

This small beach is protected by a breakwater, so the surf is usually calm, and it offers a great vantage-point for watching the oystermen.
