Adding a Little Zest to Pub Night

Pub Night at The Village at Duxbury made its debut in the fall of 2012 when Village residents sought an indoor alternative to the ever-popular summer Patio Night. When enthusiasm for the event seemed to be dwindling, residents Lynda and Skip Dickerson offered to help spice things up.

Lynda says, “We met with the dining room manager and the chef, and developed a brand new, extensive menu.” Pub Night fare now features mussels, shrimp cocktail, Black Angus burgers, steak tips, salads, sweet potato fries, pizza specials, seasonal drinks and more — not to mention the company of friends.

Dining Room Manager Peter Mota also upgraded the look and feel of Pub Night, saying, “I wanted to create a relaxed, casual and fun experience with a sophisticated pub feel, an amazing pub-styled menu, themed drinks, pub-style seating, good lighting and soft jazz.” Lynda notes, “We accomplished our goal. There must have been at least 50 people there on Monday.”
